Read moreThree years ago, my husband and I downsized and purchased a beautiful custom double wide home that is located in a rural Maine setting, in a safe community. Everything is new, cable & wifi available. We have a four year-old English springer spaniel, who pretty much just sees us every day, and is not really overly friendly with other dogs. He loves people, he is a love bug and likes to snuggle and requires lots of attention. We have never left him overnight so the person we choose to stay in our home needs to be able to spend most of the day with him and all night, understanding that they may need to go out for a few hours a day. Because we are retired our dog has a routine, (he’s trained us well!), that we would like adhered to as close as possible. He must be on a leash when outside and gets two walks around the neighborhood each day, weather permitting. He’s very easy to care for and even easier to love. We are very nervous about leaving him, but we know that it is something that will be good for us and probably him too! We would want to do a M&G and preferably have the chosen sitter stay over one or two times before we take our vacation in November. If the chosen sitter lives close enough we would love to entertain the option of some day sitting too if interested.
