Our home

My cat is an indoor - outdoor cat and has access through his own door. He does prefer if someone opens the front door for him, being a cat. He is very much a people cat and likes to sleep with his caregiver and if one is sitting or reclining for any reason he will often be with you if not outside. He has digestive issues and needs special dry foods and I give him wet food morning and night as well as a digestive aid in his food. No litter box-yay! This house is in a small rural development of 35 well maintained homes and land. Everyone has about 4 forested acres. We are all good neighbors to each other. One neighbor has eggs for sale. Another will tend to my cat if I am gone for 1 night.

My house has 3 bedrooms (the guest room is also an office) and 1 bath with a lovely clawfoot tub and Roman shower. There is a screen porch, back deck looking at the woods and front porch with a swing. I have a small perennial garden that needs watering and a few outdoor porch pants that also need watering. Watering is about 30 min a day in dry conditions. Spring is not typically dry. There is a housekeeper that cleans for 4 hours every other week on a Friday. One doesn’t have to leave, just rotate or hangout on the screen porch. We have internet, satellite which is good but not amazing! I have a Verizon booster on my roof for good cell service.

There is also a separate building which is a very small commercial kitchen that prepares a variety of specialty diet meals for sale for delivery. No business transactions here but chefs will come and go but will have no access to this house. Whoever stays here will be able to purchase lovingly prepared homemade food, however.

This is a quiet neighborhood and so far, I’ve been here 20 years, very safe.

This residence is 18 min from two different towns with yummy groceries, farmers markets, restaurants and gas stations.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

I love living in the quiet of the woods and privacy and yet I have neighbors who would always be available. Should I need help. The closest grocery, restaurant and gas station is about 16 -20 minutes away.

Yuki doesn’t need to care, per se, just to know that someone is around to cuddle with and sleep with at night. He has his own door and could go in and out. He needs to be fed.

Average - The garden, potted plants and hanging baskets. Need watering every other day unless it rains. Some areas need to be sprayed with an herbal no deer spray. It is a flower garden.
