Our home

We have a lovely home we built five years ago. We have a loft bedroom and then there is a second bedroom downstairs that our kids share. There is one bathroom with a shower and a fully functioning kitchen, washer/dryer ect. We generally run on Solar, but we are connected to the grid. We do have A/C although we rarely use it. There is no internet but good phone service with Verizon.

We live in a beautiful area, the we are at the base of wintergreen resort and the blue ridge parkway. It is about 45 minutes drive to Charlottesville and there are many Winery's, Brewery's, hiking trails, a wonderful farmers market, rivers, lakes, and a coffee shop within a few minutes drive.

We have two dogs, Yara and Finn. They mostly live outside and need to be fed daily and have access to fresh water. We have three cats, Mishka, Remus and Romulus, they need to be fed and given water as well.
The chickens and ducks need food and water and the eggs collected.

Average - We have a vegetable garden, flowers and some perennials which can be enjoyed and it would be lovely for them to be tended a bit. I also have house plants which require watering about once a week.

About us

We are a family of five. Our three kids are all under age five so we have lots of toys around. We spend most of our time homesteading and in the summer time I take the kids down to the lake every day.
