Read morePlease note, if you are considering inviting us: We prefer sits we can get to and stay comfortably without a car, whether with transit, bicycles, or a vehicle you loan. Near an Amtrak station is a plus. We can also consider plane or bus, depending on our budget and your location.

We are willing to drive within six hours of Norfolk, VA. For these sits we prefer to bring our sweet, senior, beagle if possible, but this is optional.

Red the Beagle is great with other dogs and has lived with cats. We will *not* bring him to a home with rabbits or other furry small animals due to his hunting instincts. Your own dog will get lots of walks with Red, a new buddy.

Mary Lou is a superb and experienced house sitter and even taught me how to be a better house sit host! Very communicative from the start, she had a detailed list of questions and provided a list of everything that she would need to be prepared to properly care for my house and pets while I was gone. She was very interested in my cats' needs and personalities and as a result got along well with them. I appreciated her flexibility in coming a day early while I was still home to get acquainted ... She left the house beautifully maintained, better than I had left it! It was wonderful to leave my home and pets for a few days and have zero worries. Mary Lou is the best and I feel fortunate to have been selected by her to sit for me.
