Since I'm now pet free, I relish sitting for others' fur babies. I've been a sitter from LA as a base, but discovering House Sitters America conveniently allows me to visit areas I've been curious about.

As a kid I adored my high-strung lil shih-poo, but to my chagrin after sitting a German shepherd for a season, the breed stole my heart. Between being a "dog or cat" person though, I'm solidly on the fence. My affection for a growing range of critters lately includes opossums. Animal charm runs the gamut as well as needs and personalities. It's rewarding to love and win the affections of these lil family members,

Heather is one of those people you feel like you've known all your life. She's so warm, open, and caring. We had a little time to spend together before we left for our trip and did some fun things together. I really enjoyed her company. She adored Luke our whippet and I knew she really missed him when we left for our trip with him. Heather house-sat for me twice, and I’m grateful we crossed paths. From the moment she met my dog, Sunshine, it was clear Heather is experienced & truly cares. Sunshine is a sweetheart but has separation anxiety & needs constant companionship. Heather was fantastic—she showered her with tons of love, planned outdoor adventures, park playdates & indoor games so she never felt lonely—I could tell Sunshine missed her afterward! Heather is incredibly kind and responsible. She took fantastic care of my kittens and plants while I was away. I was able to truly enjoy my vacation knowing my pets were in her loving care. She provided photos and videos, and was very responsive. Heather is thoughtful, very clean, and went out of her way to prepare delicious meals when I returned. With this sit I not only met someone very reliable, but also made a new friend. I feel very blessed that God crossed our paths.
