My husband and I love to travel. We sold our house in 2017 and purchased a travel trailer to travel around in. We have been settled in for a while, living in our camper and are now looking for a new way to travel. After coming across this website, we said "what a wonderful new way to go to different places!"

UPDATE: We are now housesitting on a full time basis and absolutely loving it! We have met so many wonderful people and pets!!

This house sit did not occur. We jointly canceled. Cheryl in the past was excellently.
Cheryl and Dennis were fantastic. Highly recommend.

I forgot to update this sit. It was July 6- 21, 2024. Our home was in good condition upon returning. Our pets were well cared for. Communication was always good. The weather was very hot and windy while we were gone, so some of my plants did not survive, but I think they did their best. Cheryl and Dennis sat for a six month stay all winter, another month long sit in May and then this sit. We prepared the house in advance due to some of Dennis' health issues. Communication was always good. The weather was very hot and windy while we were gone, so some of my plants did not survive, but I think they did their best. Cheryl and Dennis sat for a six month stay all winter, another month long sit in May and then this sit. We prepared the house in advance due to some of Dennis' health issues. We took things off walls and shelves because he used walls, furniture, etc to support himself from falling. However I pulled our camera up from time to time to check on my garden. There were numerous times we saw him walking around just fine. Our neighbors told us he walked to the mailbox just fine. We ended this sit feeling betrayed.

Tracy, I am sorry you feel betrayed. Not sure why you feel that way. If you had been around Dennis for longer, you would have seen that he has some days that are a little bit better than others. He mostly walks with his cane, but on short stints tries to do without, if he can. When walking to ... MoreTracy, I am sorry you feel betrayed. Not sure why you feel that way. If you had been around Dennis for longer, you would have seen that he has some days that are a little bit better than others. He mostly walks with his cane, but on short stints tries to do without, if he can. When walking to the mailbox, he always used his cane and walked slowly so he could get some type of exercise. What your neighbors didn't see is how he is when he gets back from that walk...exhausted. It's hard on him, but he tries to get some sort of activity. With Bob walking around with him, it was really good for Dennis when he got out and about. I'm not sure what this even has to do with the sit. We felt we took good care of the home and cats. If you feel we need to chat or text, I am open to that.

Cheryl and Dennis arrived the day before our departure so we were able to spend time with them to orient them to the house and cats. We felt entirely comfortable when we left the next day. Throughout the sit, Cheryl sent pictures and messages. She and Dennis left earlier on the day of our return, but the house was in immaculate condition. Cheryl had left a nice final update note in the house. We were very happy with their attention to our house and pets.

This is the second house sitting job Cheryl and Dennis have done for us. They take great care of the house and our three cats love them! We like them so much they're coming again in July for another sit. Thanks Cheryl and Dennis!

We are so happy with Cheryl and Dennis that we've booked them for two more days! They stayed in our home for six months and took great care of it. Cheryl sent us photos of mail we may want them sent it to us as needed. She sent periodic pictures of our cats and told us of all the kitty adventures they had while we were away. All of the cats were happy and healthy on our return. I'm sure the cats will miss them when they are gone. Thanks for everything guys. You're awesome!
Cheryl and Dennis took good care of our home and our cats while we were on vacation. I can be overprotective of my two girls. One of them has a compromised immune system and the other one is just very attached to me. Cheryl and Dennis sent me photos and updates throughout their stay to put my mind at ease. I will definitely contact them again when we travel.
We were so happy to have Cheryl and Dennis stay at our home and watch our fur babies, Molly and Maya. Cheryl left our home in great condition, everything was spic and span. Our dog Molly is almost 18 years old and has had some problems recently. Cheryl encouraged Molly to eat and sneakily got Molly to eat her medication!! Texts and pictures kept us in communication on a regular basis. Cheryl is very organized and competent. I would happily welcome them back.
