I worked as a therapist for 32 years until recently closing that door. Joe is a retired plumber and previous business owner who spent the last three seasons working as a Ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park. We are open and free to travel and housesit for various time periods although long sits are our preference.

We both have a high work ethic and communicate openly and honestly. We are both compassionate people and both LOVE nature and animals. We have experience with special need pets and various types of animals. We truly love caretaking and creating a sense of trust for homeowners so that they can fully enjoy their travel and not worry about a thing back home.

Christina and Joel were exemplary in every way. Very responsible, helpful, proactive, and extremely loving towards our cat and farm animals. We had several issues come up on the farm while we were away and they took care of everything promptly and professionally. We were able to enjoy our vacation because we had such confidence in their judgement. They kept our house immaculate. We cannot recommend Christina and Joe enough!
This is the first time we have used Housesitters of America and we cannot believe how lucky we were to have Christina and Joe as our first housesitters. They took great care of our dog Stella, and we got home after a 5 week vacation to a happy, healthy pup, and a house that was left in even better shape than we left it! From the first time we had correspondence, we knew Christina and Joe were going to be a perfect fit. They were extremely conscientious about our house, but especially so about our cats. One of our cats had a stroke during their stay and they went above and beyond caring for him (our vet highly praised them). We knew our home and animals were in gentle loving hands and we never worried about a thing. The communication between us was always positive. After being away for almost 6 months, we came ... Christina was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for more. She successfully thwarted all bears and hawks from eating our girls (job well done, soldier), and the place was arguably cleaner than when we left. Much obliged.
Thank you Patrick. SO enjoyed the girls , the greenhouse and your comfy home. If the girls and tomatoes ever need sitting again....I would be more than happy to oblige. Joe too. :)
