In between dog walks and cat cuddles, Joe spends his days studying computer programming, preparing for a future in the tech industry, while Erica manages the daily operations of our life as traveling pet sitters.

As life partners, we’re on this journey together, embracing new experiences, forming connections, and caring for animals along the way. One of our favorite pastimes is Geocaching! This free and adventurous activity has led us to places we never would have discovered on our own. We love firing up the Geocache App to see what hidden treasures await nearby—we've geocached across the United States and were thrilled to find a cache while traveling in Bern, Switzerland back in 2022!
We have experience caring for a variety of pets, including indoor/outdoor short-hair and Maine Coon cats, as well as medium-to-large breed dogs such as Brittany Spaniel, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Doberman Pinscher mix, and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Additionally, we've loved and cared for past furry companions, including Golden Retriever, Chow Chow, Chihuahua, and Samoyed.
We can’t wait to meet you and your beloved pets, creating new furiendships along the way!

This was a repeat housesit with Érica and Joe. We could not be more pleased with their compassionate service to our dog and care of our home. We recommend them whole heartedly!
Another wonderful experience made possible by House Sitters of America! Erica and Joe arrived early to learn the daily routine. I instantly felt their warmth and that they take housesitting seriously. They took great care of my home, plants, and animals. From their notes, I can tell they got to know the animals’ personalities. The cats were so relaxed when I returned. Erica and Joe are excellent house and pet sitters. They were easy to communicate with and responded quickly whenever we had a question. They sent us reassuring and now treasured photos while we were away. They went the extra mile in caring for our senior dog. Upon our return it was easy to see that Erica and Joe had not just cared for our dog, but loved him and showered him with kindness. We couldn't have asked for better house sitters than Erica and Joe. They stayed at our house for a month and watched our three labs. When we arrived home our house was spotless and the dogs were so happy and obviously well taken care of. Erica knitted them all bandanas and dog bone necklaces as well as baked them some homemade dog biscuits. Anytime that we travel, if Joe and Erica are available, they would be our first choice for house sitters again!
Erica and Joe were great! Our dog Huck took to them immediately and we could tell it was mutual. They asked all the right questions before we departed and communicated with us throughout their stay. We came home to a happy dog and a very well taken care of house. We would absolutely recommend them and have them sit for us again if the opportunity were to arise!
We couldn't have asked for better housesitters. Not only did they do a great job with our dog Murphy they also kept the place very clean, neat and organized. We enjoyed meeting with them and spending some time together as well. They also have the best petsitting puns on HouseSittersAmerica!
As far as we are concerned we would give Erica and Joe 10 stars. Our biggest concern with being gone for 3 months was Elvis our 12 year old hound. After meeting Joe and Erica our concerns disappeared. They were so in tune with him even in the short time we had before we left. That care continued throughout the 3 months they were in our home with Elvis. They took wonderful care of our home as well. Communication with them was very easy considering the 8-10 hour time difference. We were so lucky ... MoreAs far as we are concerned we would give Erica and Joe 10 stars. Joe and Erica were amazing sitters. Our doggies fell in love with them immediately. We would definitely love to have them back!
Wow. Erica and Joe are amazing! I was skeptical of this site at first and leaving my sweet puppy in the care of “strangers”. Erica and Joe were kind enough to come meet us before we made a choice and I’m so glad they did. I have quite a penchant for plants and I was gone for 3 weeks so knew they would need care. I also have a garden with many flowers which was just waking up from winter. After meeting Erica and Joe I immediately felt at ease leaving my home, gardens and puppy with them. My dog ... MoreWow. Erica and Joseph are stellar house and pet sitters! They took exceptional care of my high-energy Dobi mix, Zuri - taking her each day on an off-leash walk at nearby trails and giving her a lot of love and attention. They updated me regularly with photos that made clear Zuri was having a wonderful time and perfectly content despite my absence. I came home to a happy Zuri and a super clean house. I highly recommend Erica and Joseph!
My husband and I were so thrilled to have Joe and Erica stay with our fur babies. They took such good care of both our home and our pets. We even had them stay twice in the last few months. Joe and Erica took exceptionally good care of our lab and won her over completely. They also too great care of our house. We would have them back anytime they are willing to come!
Erica and Joe were most excellent House Sitters. My dog (7 yr old Rottweiler) Rosie probably wanted to go home with them when I returned, they loved her so much. They gave her extraordinary care ,tended to my home and yard and are kind, and gentle people. I can't say enough good about them!
