We are Jessie and Steve
- an easy-going and resourceful retired couple bent on making memories.
Lifelong animal lovers with backgrounds in education and specialist fostering we reckon caring is in our bones.
In 2022 we took the brave/crazy decision to sell our house in the UK, buy a campervan and hit the road.
We've never looked back!
Our life since then has been an exciting mix of catching up with family and friends, van-life and house and pet-sitting in the UK and US.

In 2023 when we lost Paris, our beloved Collie-cross companion of 13 years, we took the opportunity to relocate to Wilmington NC where we are currently based.
We can draw upon a wealth of experience looking after our own and others' dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats as well as fish, tortoises and snakes.
We now see house and pet-sitting as a great chance to travel more widely whilst continuing to use our considerable skills and experience to provide the highest levels of tender loving care.
We are open to providing sitting services of any length of time and willing to travel just about anywhere!

Stephen & Jessie were the best! They truly went above & beyond. Communication was wonderful. They were happy to mail me some things I needed. And had an absolute love affair with my cats, Harry & Sassy. Would love to have them back anytime.
Steve and Jessie were amazing! They were very flexible with us and with our crazy travel schedule. They were so attentive to our little Yoda and sent pictures almost every day. They tended to our home as if it were theirs. They were personable and so interesting. We highly recommend them as pet/house sitters and would use them again in the future without hesitation!
I had the honor of meeting Steve and Jesse a few days before I left on a 9 day trip. From the start, this couple went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Their love for dogs is amazing. My two dogs couldn’t have been in better hands during my time away. They had daily walks, which the dogs love. They sent me several photos and a video while I was away, which is always welcome and reassuring. I came home to relaxed dogs, who were well cared for and a clean home to boot. I highly ... Stephen & Jessie are great house sitters! They took great care of Lucy, chickens, and fish. Communication was great, and they took great care of the house. They even put out some mums in the yard. We would invite them back anytime.
Outstanding very good with our dogs
Wonderful couple - highly recommend. Frequent pup/pics. The house was left in perfect condition and we enjoyed finding little treasures and treats they tucked away upon our return, including a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut flowers from the gardens. Excellent and prompt communication. You'd be lucky to secure them for your next adventure.
Stephen and Jessie did an amazing job taking care of my home and babies. They followed instructions to a T and left the place cleaner than they found it. I came back to some incredibly happy cats, and this took away a lot of stress during my trip. They also took great care of my bearded dragon which is not a normal request... They sent updates and pictures every day without my prompting. They had great references as well, and were happy to provide any additional information that I asked for. ...
