Our home

Our home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom ranch style with an open Kitchen/Dining/Living Room area. One bedroom on the main floor serves as an office. The downstairs is recently finished and includes a legal and large bedroom with a large egress window, a craft room, family room, bathroom and a storage room with the mechanicals and a treadmill. Our front yard is mowed by our next door neighbor who recently bought a riding mower and prefers to not have to turn so often, so he just does our yard too! Our backyard is large and features a modest sized patio with a pergola. There are three moderate sized stone planters with plants and flowers in the back, but we're not planting anything that requires any special care for this summer. There is a three car attached garage and a storage shed. There is also a Blackstone grill on the patio.
The front porch has just a few steps and features a large wooden handrail.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

We moved to Hutchinson for it's art scene, museums, amazing downtown area, parks, proximity to wildlife refuges and nature centers. It's a town of around 40,000 people. Not big, but big enough.
It's close to Wichita, so everything we'll ever need is pretty handy.

Our pets

We have two dogs. Gretel is an 11 year old long-haired dachshund and pretty low key. Barkley is a 9 year old wire-haired dachshund mix and lives up to his name. They're both friendly. Each takes medication in the morning for normal senior dog issues, nothing serious. Both dogs were rescues and came to us a bit on the untrained side, but both are housebroken. However, being dachshunds, they don't really feel the need to be perfect about it. Fortunately, there are no carpets in our home.

medicationMedication/treatment required

Pills in the morning before breakfast is the only attention they require. Barkley does go to the doggy chiropractor every other month, but will be caught up before we go.
