We are a friendly and trustworthy couple from Australia who enjoy travelling, gardening and looking after our beautiful Golden Irish dog, Blazer. We also enjoy outdoor walks and meeting new people.

We are a couple who enjoy travelling and seeing the world ! We live and have worked in the beautiful state of Queensland, along the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, with our five year old Golden Irish, “Blazer”. After retirement in 2021 we have travelled extensively and have had house sitters ourselves looking after our own home and pet, so are very aware of what you prefer in a sitter when selecting someone who will be respectful and trustworthy with your property and pets.
Our two adult children both reside in Brooklyn, NY so we are obviously interested in available house sitting locations near them but are open to being very flexible.
We are non-smokers with hobbies that include reading, travel planning, camping and having dinners out with friends. We both have enjoyed sporting backgrounds that involved Leanne playing Basketball, Touch Football, and Tennis in the past and now spends her day as a keen Pickleball player. Corey played Basketball and Baseball in his day but now enjoys his golf whenever the opportunity presents.
We are a tidy and clean couple who are very conscientious about treating other people’s home with a great deal of respect and care, as if it were our own. We truly enjoy gardening and taking care of the lawn and plants if required and certainly live by the rule that we will make every attempt to leave the home (inside and out) cleaner than when we arrived. We do not have a pool but do have a spa and are familiar with the job of cleaning and administering chemicals.
We both love the outdoors and love taking our dog for walks around our nearby lake and on the beach as well. We adore and care fondly for our own fur baby and have had a great amount of love and experience in caring for the pets of others as well. We have had experience with both big and small dogs, as well as cats in the past and certainly understand the importance of adhering to the elements of your pet’s routine, such as meals, exercise, baths and any medications that may need to be administered. We also know all too well the value in providing plenty of affection and cuddles to give them that extra bit of reassurance when you go away on vacation.
We make it a practice of communicating with the home owner on an agreed consistent basis and love sending messages, pics and videos of what your pet is getting up to while you are away, as well as any updates that we may need to pass on. The homeowner will always have our phone contact, email or WhatsApp communication contacts. We are also very security conscientious about locking (and double checking !) doors, windows, fence gates, garages, etc when required.
We can provide references as required, full police check for your reassurance and are happy to have a conversation prior to your house sit for your extra assurance. We hope you will consider us to take care of your home and pets, if you have them.
