House-sitting is NOT FREE for short-term stays, emergency responses for cancelled sitters or if I am required to be present in the home for four hours or more every day.

***Travel cost to reach your home (for ALL sits) will be agreed upon and reimbursed @ 58.5 cents/mile before committing to stay and reimbursed upon arrival.

Add pets and additional services and/or stays less then three months (these Additional Services are PAID)+++

+++15$/day includes standard care and feeding of one
low maintenance animal with basic homecare.

Add +++ $$
for additional services not included with standard "room and board" Eg. whole house cleaning upon arrival, etc.

***Any regular cleaning or maintenance services you usually pay for should remain in place unless you are paying me to take over the jobs eg. lawn mowing, garden maintenance requiring more than one hour per day, pet grooming services, dog walking, playing or sitting that requires a *minimum daily presence of four hours or more* dedicated to the pet inside or outside the house, etc.

Bottom line: If you usually pay someone to do the service, it only makes sense you would also pay me. Additionally, TIPS ARE ACCEPTED WITH DEEP GRATITUDE AND GLEE!

Starting out as a sitter for a vacation home in a small, rural pueblo in Costa Rica for three years. That home required someone be present every day and stay overnight until the house eventually sold.

I continued on for the next four years by word of mouth referral due to my natural affinity for a disciplined lifestyle, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. My ability to adapt to and adopt new systems rapidly, speak Spanish and integrate with the local community quickly and genuinely have been integral to continued success.

I have been back in the USA since June, 2019 passing through New Mexico, Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee with five-star reviews in every state (not all booked on this site).

I have owned and maintained several properties from a rustic hand-built cabina in the rainforest of Costa Rica, to a five-acre lot near Wickenburg, AZ that needed irrigation repairs and a fire border during a summer drought to a 2,400 sq. ft. suburban home in an upscale gated community in San Antonio, TX that simply required someone to be present for regularly scheduled maintenance.

My experience includes everything from preservation of ocean front primary rainforest property in Dominicalito, and Uvita, Costa Rica to tropical storm preparation lakeside in the marshlands of Coastal, GA and same for one of the largest successful intentional communities in Central Florida called The Villages.

Some optional Paid Services have included: Grounds care, and grounds care coordination + pool and pond care in a natural sanctuary in tropical Thomasville, GA and, as you can imagine--plenty of humbling and challenging surprises no one could prepare for along the way!

I prefer minimum 3 mo. placements and am happy to help with cleaning/marketing a rental property in exchange for a % of the income.

Rest assured, your home/investment property will be well cared for. Sweeping and dusting are two of my favorite pass times. I can also be counted on for inspecting and addressing weather, locale-related risks like leaks, mold, insects, etc. and/or hiring a professional as needed.

I've lived in some of the most beautiful places in the world and learned that each area presents its own set of challenges--with unique solutions for almost every situation. I first look to you the owner or professional for direction. Then, I look for what is an emergency and what is a cyclical balance of nature. I've found it's better to live with the natural surroundings as far is reasonable and let them work for us wherever possible.

If you understand this concept and others like it, we will get along great!

I know from experience multiple-home ownership can be a source of joy as well as anguish. It's my job to make it more of the former.

She not only treats my home with loving care, she is affectionate toward my cat and sends me photos, leaving my home as nicely as when I left or better. If she is not sure about something she will text me and keep in contact lightly for updates.

Jessica is the best! Easy to communicate with, kept our property spotless, and are two dogs fell in love with her. There were a couple small issues in the property, she dove right in and helped anyway she could......Hopefully she'll be able to return for our next adventure.
Jessica is a very kind person who connected with our dog. She took great care of her. There was a GI medical concern that she noticed quickly and she was able to have our vet give her a check up. She let us know what was happening and had the vet call me direct with her findings. Having our dog in good hands, as well as maintaining our home was a nice feeling.
Jessica is top-notch! She kept the house spotless and the garden watered. I have nothing but praise for her reliability and conscientiousness. She even went out of her way to ship something to me that I had forgotten. Above and beyond! She followed our instructions, stayed in touch with us, and took perfect care of our pets (two dogs, a cat, aquarium fish and pond fish), house, yard, pool and pond. She went well beyond what you might expect from a house sitter, adjusting to our schedule when it changed for medical reasons, taking one of our dogs to the vet, caring for her and giving her multiple medications, showing her support and devotion in multiple ways. Jessica was very attentive to the needs of our 4-year old rescue dog. She kept him on his regular schedule without any problem. Jessica also provided regular communication and photo updates, and participated on video calls as requested. Jessica's kind demeanor and love of pets made us feel comfortable while we were away and has earned both our trust and highest possible recommendation!
