Laundry room with washer and dryer and detergent (fragrance free) for use.

Outdoor patio with charcoal BBQ, patio set with umbrella, and hammock stands.

House has dedicated home office with wi fi and wired LAN connection for use. No TV in the house or streaming but lots of books so bring entertainment if you like screens.

Bathroom has bidet (we provide TP as well), soak tub/shower combo. Bed is a queen and only bed in the house and our home cannot accommodate more than 2 people.

We have added A/C to the home and the bedroom and living room have ceiling fans, you will have free control of the thermostat. The house is older so the A/C can’t keep up if the weather is super hot (above 100) but you can run it as much as you like to stay comfortable if there’s a heat wave.

Parking is available both off street and on street. We have a side drive that can fit a smaller camper/trailer if needed.

House near bus line and a few miles from MAX train line (park and ride) to downtown Portland. Grocery stores nearby and local eateries within walking. Near the high school stadium if you want a track to use, and short walk to parks. Near Community Center that sometimes puts on game nights, exercise classes, etc. Also close to river access.

Within 1 hour of many hikes near Mt Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, Silver Falls State Park, and many more! Whether you are a homebody or like to get out to explore our home can offer it all!

Our pets

DogsDogs (1)
CatsCats (1)
Nami: 11 year old mini Australian shepherd. Will need 2 short walks a day and food morning and night. She loves yard time and can be left unsupervised with only a periodic check in while she chases squirrels. She loves playing with her plushies and making sure potential intruders know she’s home. Nami does not get on well with other dogs and young children since she is afraid of them. She must be kept on leash at all times.

Lira: 16+ year old long haired domestic cat. She is free feeding so just add more food when needed. Litter box changed every day or every other day. She’s and old girl so she mostly loves sleeping and cuddling.

medicationMedication/treatment required

Lira has had Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) for ~ 2 years, She receives oral and topical medications every day or every other day depending on the med. She receives subcutaneous fluids at home via syringe and needle. We suggest you watch a YouTube video on giving subq fluids for cats to see if you will feel up to the task and we will show you how to do it. She’s a very sweet and mellow cat so she tolerates her treatments very well.

Our garden

local_floristGarden or plant care

Minimal - Just give our outdoor plants a quick hose down if the weather is in the 90s. No other care needed.

We loved our time at Chelsea and Joe's. We were endeared to the family of a dog, cat and rabbit. The house was in great location, quiet, safe, near Portland and public transportation if needed. Chelsea and Joe were amazingly organized with a notebook of details of pets needs, home details as well as great resources for shopping in area and parks. They were very kind to loan us their wilderness pass and a book on hiking in area. While away they were quick to respond to emails about questions ... MoreWe loved our time at Chelsea and Joe's. We will have the fondest of memories of this special housesit and would return.
