We are Clarence & Alisa Laird. We are a retired couple who formerly owned & operated a very successful Appliance Repair business in Dallas, Texas. After we retired, me moved to Central Louisiana. We also have property in Arkansas. We are in great health. We are non smokers. I do enjoy a glass of wine occasionally. We have years of experience with many things, such as taking care of a home, raising children, taking care of pets, farm animals, raising a garden, etc.

How it all started:
I began housesitting for my best friend about 12 years ago when she and her husband would travel. My duties include; taking care of the pets, watering plants, gathering mail & being present in the home for security purposes. I managed everything while they were away. In late 2019, that same friend encouraged me to promote my services. So in August of 2023, when we retired from our business we began to secure more sitting assignments.
House / Pet sitting gives us the opportunity to be together, to travel to other areas and subsidize our income on a part time basis.
When we arrive at our clients home, we arrive with our own food / toiletries, and basic things we use on a daily basis.

We promise to take care of your home. We are neat and take care of our things. We will take care of the things you treasure as well!
I hope you will give us the opportunity to look after your home /pets. We had thousands of loyal appliance repair customers and the clients we've found using this platform, have had us return numerous times. I just know if you give us a chance, you'll be happy you did. Pet care

Until about 10 years ago, I was a pet owner. We also raised goats & chickens years ago.
In regards to "Pet Sitting", we've taken care of several cats and dogs. Each one has been a pleasure to care for.

Clarence and Alisa were wonderful house sitters. The most important part was the care they gave to my dog while I was away. My house was tidy and the plants were watered as they were beginning to come back to life after a dry winter. They sent me pictures and kept me updated on some of their adventures around the area with my dog. He was totally comfortable with them as his caretakers. Alisa and Clarence are fantastic! We are so fortunate to have found them…. As noted by other reviewers, our home was cleaner and neater when we returned than when we left. The dogs were happy and healthy… Alisa and Clarence took wonderful care of our canine who is recovering from an injury, and the other healthy one too! Alisa responded quickly and with enthusiasm to all our messages. We just couldn’t ask for any greater peace of mind than having these folks take care of our house and ... This is the third time Alisa and Clarence have sat for us, and we couldn't be happier. They communicate in advance, arrive on time, take good care of the fur babies, and leave the house so tidy we can hardly tell anyone was here! We fully trust them with our home and pets, and can't wait to have them back!

Alissa and Clarence were the best. Linus, Lucy, Meow and Squeaky loved them. They got great care and Clarence took care of some things I couldn't. Will definitely have them back. Great people!

Alisa & Clarence were some of the best sitters we've had. They were friendly, communicative, asked pertinent questions, and sent daily check-ins and photos. Our 3 dogs and cat seemed comfortable with them from the start; even our chronically-timid pup warmed up to them quickly. When we arrived home, everyone was happy and healthy--and calm, which means they received lots of love and attention.
