Our home

Two weeks from June 30 to July 12 or 13, but might break it up for multiple sitters if needed. The apartment is on the border of Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods, walking distance to G and L subway stops with street parking available. Fig is a 70 lb rescue who needs two square meals and a walk at least once a day while we are out of town. Looking for someone experienced and confident with large dogs. We will be far away and would appreciate a picture every couple days. It is a cool area with brewery, yoga, cross-fit, murals, and coffee-shop on the same block. Three bedroom (queen bed, office/study, and TV room) in a walk up. There is a roof deck, so you do not have to go downstairs every time you or the dog wants to go outside. Fig is usually good to stay by herself 7 hours, if needed. We have done this a few times before

Fig is a 12 year old pit who is mostly blind. She has an automated feeder and mainly just needs walks, treats and attention.

Great stay watching Fig over the holidays! They have a comfy home and had great communication. Fig is very sweet and was fine to manage and walk.
It was a pleasure to look after Fig. She is adorable and really friendly. She loves to be outside and play with her toys. She is also fond of cuddles. The communication with Christopher and Darren have been great. They told me all that was needed to take care of Fig and settle in their appartment in Brooklyn. It was a nice time thanks!
I had a great time staying with Fig in Brooklyn and would recommend this sit for anyone looking to spend some time exploring nyc. Fig is very sweet and loves going out for a stroll. You should be comfortable handling big dogs as she is strong and a little blind, so she needs some extra guidance navigating. What a sweetie-pie dog though! Also just a 30 min bike ride from Manhattan if you want to go over any of the bridges. Chris and Darren were great with communication and quick to answer questions, making this sit very seamless.

So it was lovely to take her for a run and have a chill day with her. Chistopher and Darren are very nice hosts. They agreed to meet first and they were so polite and friendly, it was a delight to hang out with them. They are so good that they even gave us a gift for wanting to stay with Fig a second time! Absolutely loved looking after Fig for Chris and Darren. I had little notes let for me upon my arrival which was super helpful plus great communication via WhatsApp. A wonderful time was had.
