Our home

Our home is a one bedroom, one bath, third floor condo unit in a gated community. You must be able to climb three flights of stairs since there is no elevator. Our place has some nice walking for being inside the city. The condo is in a great area of Atlanta (Sidney Marcus), approximately 1 mile walk or bus ride to the Marta train (Lindberg), and very close to major highways (400, 85, 75). You must be able to climb three flights of stairs since there is no elevator. Our place has some nice walking for being inside the city. The condo is in a great area of Atlanta (Sidney Marcus), approximately 1 mile walk or bus ride to the Marta train (Lindberg), and very close to major highways (400, 85, 75). A hop on the Marta train takes you to the High Museum of Art, Piedmont Park, or downtown to the GA Aquarium, as well as many other places. We are close to Lenox and Phipps Plaza malls and cinemas, as well as the ethnically diverse Buford Hwy., and the ritzy Buckhead, known for it's restaurants and nightlife. Our condo is less than 900 square feet, but with nice sized living room and bedroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with no bath. The kitchen is well stocked with a Vitamix and convection oven with dehydration as I love to cook food from scratch. We are walking distance from grocery (Target, Kroger, Publix in order of distance) and many other stores and restaurants. We have wi-fi throughout and Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Max on Youtube, PBS Passport, and free apps on the Roku, so you are welcome to relax and watch anything, as long as you don't mind the cats laying around or on you! We have lots of jigsaw puzzles, as well. We are a nonsmoking household. No smokers, please. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Our pets

We have two super snuggly and social cats, Pico and Ellie. They are brother and sister rescues, estimated to be about 14 years old. We would love for someone to spend a lot of time with them while we are out of town. They love nothing more than following you from room to room or sitting in a lap when one becomes available.
They require food bowl replenished and water bowl changed daily, as well as the bag removed and replaced from their litter box robot once every 3 days or so. No touching of cat poo is required!

medicationMedication/treatment required

Ellie gets scruffed morning and night (12 hours apart) for arthritis medicine to get squirted into her mouth with a needle-less syringe. She's pretty relaxed about it. We do 8 am and 8 pm, but can change it if a sitter requests. Both cats also get treats at that time.

Alysa was very communicative and gave excellent instructions about giving Ellie medication. The condo complex is gated with lots of trees with a 5-mile trail that surrounds the complex. The cats are sweet and were a joy to take care of.
I felt very comfortable with Alysa since the first time we messaged each other. Alysa and her husband Alessandro have a charming house and two adorable cats, Pico and Ellie. Pico and Ellie are both very affectionate, and they immediately won our heart over! Ellie takes some medicine, but it's pretty easy to make her take it. The location is convenient to everything, including a Marta Station, two shopping malls, three supermarkets and many other stores, and outside the main gate of the ... The condo itself is immersed in a lovely green area, and there's also a swimming pool. When my nephews and I arrived, Alessandro showed us around the neighborhood. We really miss the kitties and would gladly sit for Alysa and Alessandro again!

I loved sitting for Alysa and her partner, Alessandro. Her two cats, Pico and Ellie, are the best snuggle buddies while you watch tv. Pico and Ellie would chat with you throughout the day and will get into your lap for pets whenever they have the chance. They love playing with the laser and other toys. Ellie and Pico were great company and took very good care of us. We enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know their personalities. Alysa and Alessandro have a very nice home and are located within easy walking distance to all types of shopping and a train station. We would definitely go back for another sit.

The condo is in a very nice gated complex and the neighborhood is very walkable with restaurants, grocery stores and other shopping within walking distance. I'm breaking my own rule by writing an endorsement for a homeowner. These folks are more than worthy! Their condo is in a nicely landscaped complex, comfortable & quiet yet an easy walk to an upscale supermarket, restaurants, bakery, Starbucks, Marta, and one of Atlanta's paved pathways. It you are truly a walker you can easily walk to Atlanta Fish Market, Trader Joe's, Gordon Biersch (sp).
